About Sarah Creviston Lee

Hello there! Welcome and thank you for visiting. Here's a little bit about me:

I've been writing ever since I was 6 or 7 years old. It's something that is apart of my blood and something that my life simply can't do without, otherwise I become a miserable, cranky person. My desired career as a child was to be a published author, but as an adult I also find much satisfaction in just writing for the pure pleasure and need of it.

I finished my first full-length novel in 7th grade, painstakingly handwritten during a multitude of the 2nd halves of lunch hours, spare moments in Science class, and at home in my room when I should probably have been studying.

I mostly love writing fiction and historical fiction, but also enjoy experimenting with poetry, creative non-fiction and educational nonfiction.

When I'm not writing I enjoy photography, reading, cooking & baking (especially WWII ration recipes), watching Korean dramas, doing historical research, and visiting historical sites.

History is my other love and it all began with an exhibit on WWII at my local historical society when I was a teenager. I went on to earn my degree in History with a certificate in Museum Studies. My favorite topics of historical study are: the American & British Homefronts during WWII, WWII food rationing, the Industrial Revolution, and American food ways.

I currently reside in central Maryland with my wonderful husband and two beautiful children whom we homeschool.
